The first time I heard of this device was the last CES in Las Vegas, when there was talk of a device from 8 inches with single core processor, passing in the month of may for an unknown 2 inch quad core and adding to the diagonal until you get to reveal fully the characteristics of this gaming tablet.
Aside from the dock-gamepad that every model will be equipped with, included directly in the sales package, there is a configuration with the gaming, but still in line with most tablets top range walked out during this year:
- processor 1.4 GHznVidia Tegra 3 to
- 1 GBof RAM
- at least16 GB of storage, which may vary by model
- 1 inch IPSscreen and resolution of 1280 × 800
- Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
Unfortunately, it is important to highlight that this device will not have the much acclaimed 3D without glasses, which will be stored for some future model. The company has also provided data on 3 g connection of which it was rumoured a few months ago and was not even mentioned the agreement (taken for granted in May) with Gaikai: that is the result of theagreement signed by the latter with nVidia (which would in essence to all devices Tegra3 to take it) or his most recent and costly acquisition by Sony?
Even the marketing has slipped toward the end of the year, and there are rumors leaked about the actual release date or price that, If I ever were to follow in the footsteps of the Nexus 7, might not be quite so high.
Can he compete with the cheap console OUYA, with the same components and with Jelly Bean from her?
